The success of those efforts is reflected in HKUMed’s recent appointment by the government to operate the Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI) located in the Hong Kong Park of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone. The Institute will offer a one-stop service for local researchers and international pharmaceutical industries to run clinical trials in the region. 4
