Building Global Networks The School has fostered strong alliances with over 70 prestigious international universities and other institutions, while maintaining a robust strategic partnership within the University and the local community. The School actively participates in extensive collaborative networks, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) and the Southeast and East Asian Nursing Education and Research Network (SEANERN). Additionally, the School hosted the East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS), the largest nursing forum in Asia. The School has significantly expanded its global influence and research capacity. Its collaboration with HKU-Shenzhen Hospital has played a pivotal role in raising nursing standards and enhancing clinical and specialist nursing training in the Greater Bay Area. Professor Lin noted, ‘In recent years, the School has engaged in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Medical Cooperation Pilot Programme and the China Elite Teaching Hospital Nursing Alliance. In 2024, we co-hosted the 14th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum with HKU-Shenzhen Hospital, fostering academic exchange, research collaboration and advancements in medical services.’ Celebrating 30 Years of Legacy As the School marks this milestone, it is evident that while the foundational principles of vision, mission and excellence remain unchanged, it has continually adapted its educational and research methodologies to meet the changing needs of the healthcare landscape.
