STUDENT ACTIVITIES 學生活動 People 人物 24/01/2025 HKUMed CNY Poon Choi Gathering 醫學院新春盆菜宴 On the eve of the Lunar New Year, HKUMed hosted its first-ever Poon Choi Gathering at Loke Yew Hall, bringing together over 200 faculty members and students for a festive celebration. The unique culinary tradition saw enthusiastic participation from teachers, local students, and exchange students from Sweden. Everyone gathered around steaming pots of traditional poon choi, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere. Poon choi symbolises reunion, harmony and solidarity. This event not only provided a delicious feast, but also strengthened the bonds within the HKUMed community. 醫學院於農曆新年前夕在陸佑堂舉辦首屆新春盆菜宴，吸引了逾 200位師生參加，共慶佳節。活動當天不僅有本地師生踴躍參加， 更迎來了來自瑞典的交換生，一同體驗這獨特的本地飲食文化。 師生圍坐，享用熱氣騰騰的傳統盆菜，場面溫馨歡騰。盆菜寓意 團圓和睦，這次活動不僅讓大家品嚐美食，更加深了彼此的情誼， 凝聚大家對醫學院的歸屬感。 HKUMed hosted two heart-warming animal-assisted therapy events in February and March 2025. On Valentine’s Day, Dean Professor Chak-sing Lau and faculty members brought their adorable pet dogs to campus, creating a joyful atmosphere through delightful interactions with students. On 11 March, the Faculty collaborated with the Asian Medical Students’ Association Hong Kong (AMSAHK) to organise a ‘Paws a Moment: Therapy Dog Wellness Experience’. During the event, therapy dogs visited the campus and demonstrated the healing power of animal-assisted therapy through meaningful interactions with students. With their comforting hugs and unconditional affection, the lovable dogs melted hearts and provided much-needed emotional relief during the demanding academic term. 醫學院於2025年2月至3月期間舉辦了兩場別開生面的寵物療癒活動。情人節當 天，院長劉澤星教授偕同多位教職員攜帶愛犬到訪校園，與學生親切互動，為 校園增添了溫馨歡樂的氣氛。隨後在3月11日，學院與香港亞洲醫學生學生會 合辦「治療犬健康體驗」活動，安排「狗狗治療師」來到校園，透過互動示範，為 學生展示動物輔助治療的力量。可愛的治療師以溫暖的擁抱和無條件的愛意融 化了參與者的心，讓大家在學習和工作之餘得到放鬆。 The Executive Committees of the Medical Society and the Business and Economics Association successfully co-hosted the Joint Society Ball 2025 – Anthosira, providing a memorable evening for students across disciplines, with a vibrant mix of entertainment and networking opportunities. The attendees enjoyed captivating performances by popular artists and lively dance sessions with their peers.
