In response to the challenges posed by global climate change and the resumption of international travel, Professor Jasper Chan Fuk-woo from the Department of Microbiology, SClinMed, and Professor Ivan Hung Fan-ngai from the Department of Medicine, SClinMed, have established the HKUMed Travellers’ Clinic to meet the demand for travel medicine. ‘The Clinic also provides dedicated support for medical students participating in overseas activities during their Enrichment Year. We offer personalised medical advice, vaccinations, and preventive medications. When necessary, we also arrange physical examinations and laboratory tests to ensure their health and safety while living abroad,’ said Professor Chan. 為應對因全球氣候變化以及旅遊人數回升所帶來的 旅行醫學需求,臨床醫學學院微生物學系陳福和 教授及內科學系孔繁毅教授成立了港大醫學院旅行 者診所。陳教授分享道﹕「這專門診所亦特別支援 醫科生於增潤年進行的海外活動,提供個人化的醫 學建議、疫苗接種及預防性藥物。如有需要,亦 可安排他們身體檢查及化驗等,確保同學在外地期 間的健康及安全。」 In response to the need for immunology and allergy services in Hong Kong, Dr Philip Li Hei, from the Department of Medicine, SClinMed, established the HKUMed Immunology & Allergy Clinic. Dr Li leads a pharmacist-driven research initiative―Drug Allergy Network for Community Evaluations (DANCE), which explores innovative approaches to drug allergy testing.
