On 25 August 2025, HKU’s five State Key Laboratories (SKLs), the highest number among Hong Kong institutions, were presented plaques from the Ministry of Science and Technology. These laboratories lead fundamental research aligned with national strategies and needs and contribute to global scientific advancement.
