HKUMed entered into a strategic collaboration with the new Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) in a ceremony on 9 September 2025, witnessed by the Secretary for Health, Professor Lo Chung-mau. The partnership will provide vital clinical placements and advanced training for Chinese Medicine students at HKUMed, while also leveraging its expertise to set clinical standards and promote scientific research. Together, HKUMed and CMHHK aim to advance the development of Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong, China and Chinese Mainland. 港大醫學院與新成立的香港中醫醫 院（中醫醫院）於2025年9月9日舉行的儀式上簽訂合作協議，由醫務衞生局局長盧寵茂教授見證。此次合 作將為醫學院中醫學生提供臨床實習及深造培訓機會，同時利用其專業知識制訂臨床標準與指引，共同推 進中醫藥科研發展，為本港及中國内地中醫藥發展作出貢獻。 On 9 September 2025, the Greater Bay Area International Clinical Trial Institute (GBAICTI), HKUMed’s Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, and GSK signed an MOU to establish a strategic framework for advancing clinical data and real-world studies in the GBA. The collaboration aims to position Hong Kong, China as a leading international hub for real-world research and support drug registration in Chinese Mainland using real-world data. Initially focusing on high-quality research in Hong Kong, China, the partnership plans to expand its efforts to other GBA cities. Its goals include supporting evidence-based decision-making, optimising treatments, and strengthening healthcare systems using real-world data. The partnership emphasises translating biopharmaceutical innovations into practical applications and providing a scientific foundation for public health decisions.
